grain Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Has anyone done any scientific tests to quantify how accurate or un accurate Sketchup is. For example a 1000mm will vary by 10mm I understand it is described as a 'Sketch' application I'm planning on embarking on producing a3D house model from some 2D printed plans, and elevations. I only have Autocad LT. Any advice appreciated Quote
gcp310 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 the items i work with are drawn 100% correct and i can say that the program is accurate. its as accurate as you make it to be. no complaints here, i just wished i had go into it sooner. the tutorial videos on youtube, watch them, they make alot of sense as it works different to any CAD program. f700es Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Just remember in SU you can have your snap setting different from your precision. I have mine set to the same amount and I get dims just as precise as AutoCAD. Quote
