wicked_tattoo Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I was wondering if someone could tell me if Rhino will run on a windows xp 64 bit system???? Quote
tzframpton Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Rhino v4.0 will run as a 32bit application on x64 bit Windows, but it won't take any advantage of the added computing. Quote
wicked_tattoo Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 We have Rhino 3.0 and we are not looking to gain anything we are just making sure that it will run ok. We are having our company tech guys build us a new comp for modeling and we run multiple softwares and we are trying to make sure this will run with no problems. Quote
tzframpton Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I don't know about v3.0 - Google might help ya. Quote
Cad64 Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 http://www.simplyrhino.co.uk/rhinotraining/hardware.html Quote comes from the above link: Windows XP Professional X64 Rhino 4.0 is a 32 bit application and will run on XP Pro X64 (but only in 32 bit mode) and although this is not officially supported we have found this to be stable in a professional environment. Running Rhino 4 in a 64 bit environment will allow it to access more memory (a total of 3GB) and the 64 bit version of Rhino 5 currently in development will allow significantly greater amounts of RAM to be accessed.
