Windows in tool pallets covered by solid hatch in walls when laying out floor plan
Jodi Muir posted a topic in AutoCAD 3D Modelling & Rendering
Hello everyone, I've always layout my floor plans three dimensionally with the tools pallets commands such as walls, rails, door, windows & ect. I always have my walls pre-hatched with the solid pattern which is really effective to the floor plan. Normally when I put windows in the wall the window is clearly shown without the hatch in the wall but for some reason my wall's hatch started covering the windows and I can't seem to solve this problem.-

Hi all, I'm a longtime AutoCad user, new to Architecture. I'm trying to create a wall style that is 3" brick veneer, 1" airspace, 3" ins. panel, 10" horizontal girt, 3 5/8" stud wall and 5/8" drywall. Should I specify the girt as a component in the wall" It's not continuous, there's one at, say 6' o.c. vertically. Or should this 10" be an "airspace". Also don't quite get the "edge offset" spec, I'm just trial & error-ing my way thru it. Thanks, great resource here! Will Patton
