Hi all! I'm working on drawing a railroad spur in AutoCAD 2011. I had an archaeologist get the measurements for me and unfortunately, she measured in units of 10 (i.e. 1 foot = 10 units so each "unit" = 1 1/4" I'm wondering if there's a way in CAD to automatically convert these units. If I could enter 1 and have it come out automatically as 1 1/4" so that I don't have to convert every single measurement. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Emily

Dealing with Mixed Units

I have some US components - in feet & inches - that I need to put onto mounting plates and cabinets that are all metric. Comparatively, the components are very complicated and the cabinets rather simple. My drawing is staying in feet & inches. However, for the plates, I need to move lines by a metric amount - like 25mm. Obviously, if I hit [M][Enter][25][ If I do an arithmetic conversion, it's going to be 0.9842519685... inches, but that will introduce rounding error. Is there any way to get an exact value here?
