Lineweight when publishing as TIFF file
drennich posted a topic in AutoCAD Drawing Management & Output
AutoCAD 2016 Right now we pdf (and it looks great), then we saveas a TIFF file. PDF lineweights look good, and so do the new TIFF lineweights. We are trying to publish straight to a TIFF file, but are lineweights are to fine. I've tried going into the imported "page setup" file and changing the lineweight in the page setup manager's "plot style table", but that did nothing. Any suggestions?- 3 replies

First off I want to say I hope that this is an acceptable place to put this thread. (I appologize in advance if it is not boss men/ladies ) Sometimes, and only sometimes when I open up a sheet in layout the .tif images are not shown and instead the path where the image is, is shown. The file path is correct. The file was not moved. If I go to properties and select the saved path and click on the ... (ellipsis, I think its called) and just do the path all over the image comes up with no issues. Any ideas on why this occurs? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Miller

Could someone please tell me how to prepare a 600 dpi tiff image from AutoCAD with the width of 10 cm at least? The tiff file resolution (600 dpi) and the image width (minimum of 10 cm) is critical for me since I have been requested to submit my images in this format. Thanks!

I have drawn plans and am trying to send them out for printing on 24" x 18" paper. I used the add a plotter wizard to get the Tiff version 6 plotter added to my plotters, and the tiff it puts out is only 4" x 3". I have tried scaling the picture, changing the paper size, looking through all the options in the layout tabs and plotting tabs. I can't get anything to work. My only options in for paper size in the plot menu are pixel sizes, I can't select paper size. I am using autocad 2005. Please help!

I'm trying to export a drawing to PDF. It works fine except the background photo, an xrefed TIFF file, doesn't appear. I searched a bit and found a thread that mentioned going into printer/plotter properties, graphics, raster images, and pulling the two upper sliders left a bit. This didn't change anything for me. I've read dealing with image files in Autocad is a common problem. Might anyone have a solution?

Hi All, I have about 200 TIFF images (all Geo-refferenced) I need to make a separate DWG file for each one which simply has the associated image attached. Essentially my final outcome needs to be: 001.TIF 001.DWG So I need the DWG file to be named the same as the TIFF. I can import and save them one by one but this is pretty time consuming. Any suggestions on how to do this automatically? I have 3 sets of images to do this for and each is a different pixel size. I have completed one set and I was wondering if i could take the set that I have completed and somehow manipulate them to find the other group of images without having to open each DWG and attach the new image. Any ideas would be appreciated! Cheers

Image shifts when printing in AutoCAD LT 2007
RussL posted a topic in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface
Sometimes when I import an image (such as a TIFF or pdf) and draw over top of it, when I print the stuff that I've drawn shifts. It will look fine on the screen and in print preview but shifts when printed. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks RussL- 2 replies

This isn't exactly an AutoCAD questions but since it relates to being used in AutoCAD I think it is okay... Sometimes I have to save PDFs of details to tiff because a PDF won't come out right when its referenced into AutoCAD and plotted. I am looking to see if anyone has a suggestions of a free Batch PDF to Tiff Converter to use. Thanks! John
