Exporting Data From Labview into a Stress Analysis in AutoCAD or SolidWorks
cdorn7 posted a topic in SolidWorks
Can I import real time data that I am measuring on a real system using Labview into a stress simulation on a model of the system? Basically I have realtime force data in labview gathered from a strain gauge on a simple cantilever beam and I want to apply that force to a simulated model of that beam. The force is a simple concentrated load acting at a known position. So the crux of this is exporting that data from labview into the stress analysis in either AutoCAD or SolidWorks. I feel like this should be fairly simple to do, but I am new to both SolidWorks/AutoCAD and Labview. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!- 1 reply

Stress Analysis: Use outputs from stress analysis for defining input parameters
petedow posted a topic in Autodesk Inventor
Is it possible to take outputs from the stress analysis such as reaction moments around fixed constraint and to define these as a parameter on input to other parts of inventor. e.g. the force in the downwards direction around a bolt hole modelled as a fixed reaction is 200N. Can you then use this value and input it into a bolt calculator automatically? To avoid having to redo this everytime the model changes?-

I can change the number from -100 to +100. What this value means?

Inventor 2010 add-inns not showing in ribbon. Stress Analysis tool bar greyed out
kiwicadman posted a topic in Autodesk Inventor
I'm looking to teach Inventor. A local high school has given me an "Educational Institute Version" copy of Pro which I've loaded up to SP4. With no add-ins loaded at startup, the stress analysis tool bar will light up when the add-in is loaded and then grey out again. I have tried the Autodesk fix whch replaces the Bin/register files and still no luck. Hope you haven't had the same issue! Please help if you have. Thanks Rob.- 6 replies
