Could Greatly Use Some Help with Plotting Multiple Sheets At Once
MillerMG posted a topic in Civil 3D & LDD
Okay, so i feel very stupid for asking for help with this but to save my life I cannot figure this out. We have anywhere from 30-50 sheets for site plans. Opening each sheet and plotting them takes anywhere from 30 min. to an hour. This is taking up too much time when I should be drafting instead of hitting the open, plot, close buttons. Can someone please explain to me from start to finish of how to, I guess, set up sheet sets to plot the whole set of plans at once? I think a sheet set would be used. Not sure about that though. I would GREATLY appreciate any help. Thanks everyone. Miller -
I use AutoCAD Lt 2007, and 2009 at work and I clicked or typed something and I do not see the tabs on the bottom any more, where all the pages are. I have a big drawing with about 15 different sheets and I cannot see the tabs like I used to. I had never had that happen before and I have been using autocad for years... it is kind of embarrassing really. Can someone help? No matter what I do I cannot get the tabs view back on. It probably is a really simple thing, but I have no clue.

Hi all It has been a long time since my last post but here I am again. I have some problems with sheet templates (or is it drawing templates ) here is what I need to have: 1) drawing template with 1 sheet when new drawing is created. 2) when I add second, third and more sheets, it should have same title block. 3) all info (author, date, number and other notes) should be the same as on first sheet automatically. 4) changing info on first sheet title block with property tab, properties should change on other sheet also. How can I do that? I have some similar templates from our SW reseller tech guy, but it is not enough. though I can't find what he did and how. Would like to create some templates of my own. any ideas?

Is there a way to sort sheets in SSM alphabetically?

I freelance for 2 small offices (2 people and 3 people) and both offices aren't incredibly saavy with autoCAD and have asked me if I could set up some drawing standards (standard layers with standard lineweights and linetypes, standard titleblocks for different sheet sizes, standard textstyles, standard dimstyles, standard plotstyle, etc.). Both are interiors firm that work with architectural backgrounds most of the time so we just use other firms' drawing sheets and build on those (this is why this hasn't come up before). I see the importance of having firm standards, but I'm not sure where to begin. I don't want to waste a ton of time with trial and error (although I'm sure I can manage that way)... Can someone point me to a book or web site or even give me basic instructions? I'd like to be the most efficient and thorough I can. Thanks!!!
