  5. hello something's changed in my autocad 2012 setup and I'm being asked to provide full written addesses within the system for files I want to "save as" under a different name, or insert as raster images for example. the moment I click on "save as" an on screen request pops up, like the one you see in the picture (my autocad is in french), asking me to provide the full path to where the file should be saved, instead of a window where I can browse. this is slowing me down massively and I have tried every possible set up change. can anybody help? many thanks

    Dialog Box Missing

I was on my previous employers computer with auttocad (he says)2009 (it says 2007). I was helping him make a few tweaks. In short I made his SAVEAS dialog box dissapear. Now when hitting "saveas" it shows in the comand line- no popup dialog box. Please help me fix this error (and get me out of hot water) Thanks ahead

    Save As in Windows 7

I recently upgraded to windows 7 and AutoCAD 2012, when I hit save as the cursor or highlighted field is in the directory area not the file name. When I'm detailing I use save as a lot and this little quirk causes me about three extra steps, and kills my rhythm. Our XP machines defaulted to the file name area so you could simply type in a new name hit enter, and go on down the road. Has anybody ran into this one and hopefully figured out a work around?

    Saving files - AutoCAD 2011

I'm using AutoCAD 2011. When I click on 'File' and then 'Save As', instead of a dialogue box on screen, I get, on the command line, the following: 'Enter File Format R14 (LT98 & LT97/2000/...........up to 2010) How can I get rid of this of the command line and get the dialogue box back? Thanks in anticipation.......
