Dimension’s extend line is overlap with others
haisagiviz posted a topic in AutoLISP, Visual LISP & DCL
Hi everyone, My question: Is there anyway to detect dimension's node when node’s distance from dimension line are greater than a number and move them back to dimension base line. My problem: the dimension's extend line is overlap with other line such as grid line, wall line and others. Regards. -
Possible to give a node a Z value from text?
Clifford169 posted a topic in AutoLISP, Visual LISP & DCL
Long timer user first time poster. I have an old survey that we don't have the raw data for anymore. There are levels associated (in text form) to the nodes we have created from LSS, however the nodes themselves are all 2D. Is there a way to tell those nodes to shift their Z value to the height in the text line? I'm used to using LISPs though I'm not much of a writer for them! Looking forward to your responses. -
dimension grip node stuck at arrow tip
rhgrafix posted a topic in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface
I searched the universe and can't find this answer, Sometimes I find an existing dimension where one end has the node that has been collapsed to the tip of the arrow, I can't figure out how to pull it back off the arrow tip. I use 2011, any ideas? Thanks! R.L. Hamm -
If I click on an object, its nodes are highlighted. If I then click on a node (such as the end of a line), I can move that node. In this case, I drag it to the left and enter a distance (such as 1 foot), with ortho turned on. This should cause the point to move left exactly 1 foot. When I press "enter," the node moves up or down instead. It doesn't move left like it should have. I think it doesn't move *precisely* up or down, either, but goes a little to the left or right. It does, however, move the distance I typed in. Why won't the node go in the direction I want?

Hi, I found when I searched under "grips and nodes" the question posed "How do I insert a new grip or node in to an existing polyline? " and the answer "PEDIT command" now my question is this: what do I do to add more nodes with the PEDIT command options? we are using 2005 auotcad. if this works it will save my boss a huge amount of time....
