    Missing SHX Files

    princessmonsta posted a topic in AutoCAD Beginners' Area

    My bosses pc's shows up the attached missing SHX files error message when he opens a drawing with missing font files. I have a new install of Autocad and I've never ticked the box 'Always perform my current choice' and I don't get that error message. See attached screen dump. Why does he get that message and I don't? How do I make my Autocad have that error message? Regards, Princess Monsta

    Hi all Anyone got any idea why a drawing would open without a number of objects (text) showing? I open it up and all notes are gone, yet another user opens it up in "eDrawings" and it opens fine. Oddly, when in ACAD I click OPEN, the preview ACAD gives me when I click this file once shows the missing text etc. But when I open it they're missing. Any help? Below is a screenshot of firstly the drawing open in ACAD and secondly open in eDrawings.
