Adding a new Lineweight to the "LWEIGHT" library
OrangeFu posted a topic in AutoCAD Drawing Management & Output
Morning folks! I need to create a specific line weight other than those provided at default. Right now it goes from 0.00mm to 0.05mm to 0.09mm. I'm trying to get a line thickness of 0.07mm. All the best from Toronto- 5 replies

Hello! I'm working on my first autocad drawing and am struggling to work out what it will actually look like when printed! when i go onto paper space the look of the drawing (a building plan) completely changes when i move the cursor across it, from clumsy thick awkward lines to neat drawing with correct hatching etc...I hope my drawing is the latter but i suspect it isn't! How do I know for sure? this is probably a really obvious question but I would really appreciate some advice Thanking you in advance em

AIA standard seems to have layer '0' as a default setting. What is the line weight assigned to this layer?

I am using the monochrome plot style and plotting to PDF. My text looks great in the Plot Preview, but once actually hit 'Plot' the line weight of my text and dimensions appears super thick and heavy. They are also assigned to the lightest line weight in the layer property manager. Any suggestions would be so helpful! Thanks so much.

I think that line weight controls line thickness in plot. If I want to see the result in paper pace, what shall I do? I should say that I also posted this question on the following forum: http://forums.autodesk.com
