  1. I can't find how to recreate boundary of hatch using command line only. I can do it from hatchedit, but it requires hitting "recreate boundary" button in the hatch edit window. Any advice what command can be used to make hatchedit command line only? I found it! It's HATCHGENERATEBOUNDARY I can't make command alias HGB to work as HATCHGENERATEBOUNDARY Express Tools gives warning that it's a new command, I can add it, but it doesn't work. lisp (command "HATCHGENERATEBOUNDARY") works fine
  2. Hello all, I am working in AutoCAD 2008 on a subdivision plan that has several sheet layouts. The roads in the subdivision are dimensioned and have a pavement hatch. In one of the layouts, however, we want to turn off the dimensions, but leave the hatching. When I freeze the dimensions in that viewport, the pavement hatch is left with holes wherever the dimension text had been. Other threads had suggested going through Hatch Edit > Remove Boundary > Select all the "island" boundaries. When I select the hatch, though, no boundaries show up around the holes left by the dimension text. Is there any way I can turn off dimensions in one layout without leaving holes in the hatch?
  3. I wish to hide my associative hatch boundaries. Is this possible to do as a permanent rule? I have seen that you can apparently put them on a different layer then turn them off. Does anyone have a quick trick for what i am trying to achieve? I used the selectsimliar command but it chose all polylines (which i guess is what a hatch boundary is?) Any ideas, or is this going to be a tedious job each time i wish to hide them....?
