Hello I am using ACAD-2007, and am trying to plot my DWG as an "intelligent" PDF which preserves the drawing's layers, so that they can be switched on/off within the PDF using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional's Layer View. Problem is, when I plot the file PDF, I open up Adobe's Layer View pane, and no layers are there. Even starting a basic .dwg from scratch, the layers are not converting. And yes, I am using the standard dwg to pdf.pc3 (however, since it's v2007 there is no option to toggle "Include Layers" in the plot). Any ideas how to make this work?

DWG converted to PDF then PDF not printing to scale
lizziewales posted a topic in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface
Hi I need help My client needs an a3 drawing I drew converted into a PDF so he can print the PDF off to the correct scale. I created the pdf in autocad 2012 to A3 size and a scale of 1:1. I emailed the PDF to my client who now says that the PDF is not to the correct scale when he prints it, I instructed him to select the 'actual size' option he then said it cut off the drawing at either end of the drawing. He getting very angry now. He wants to be able to open the PDF press print and it to print out to scale. Is it something I am doing wrong? I have never had this problem before and I am beginning to panic. Thanks in advance for any help- 9 replies

Is it possible to export a drawing to pdf without opening a drawing where AutoCAD is installed. I want to write my own code using AutoLISP or VB.Net (and not use any existing third party utility) because I have some specific additional requirements. Any guideline would be helpful. Is ObjectDBx the way to go?
