  1. Sorry if this is under the wrong page... I'm running LT 2018 and I've had a couple of files that have just been too much for my PC to handle. Because of this, I've crashed out of CAD. Now, when I open CAD back up, I get the drawing recovery manager come up with these files on it. I want to remove the files, but when I try and do this (right click>remove), it just freezes CAD all over again. Is there a way to clear the DRM list without removing the files individually? Some of them I can't even check the properties to see where the files are so I can delete them. (Some are quite old as I haven't had to use DRM between then and now). TIA
  2. I can open autocad but that's it!! If I try to open any files or hit any button on the menu it just crashes!! please help i have may deadlines to meet. I use autocad lt 2010
  3. Hi Folks! Im starting to look at a problem with 1 particular drawing I am working on, though to be honest i'm not sure where to begin.... It is nearly impossible to do anything to the drawing without having it crashing on me. On another machine it completely crashed the computer, leaving nothing but the blue Screen.... The file is only 3000 KB, has 2 xrefs and nothing much else complicated. There are some blocks in the drawing (about 100), and around 50 layouts. The crashing doesn't happen at any command in particular, and I don't think it's the Computer as I have been working on other bigger files with more elements and not had anything (other than the usual) Can there be something in the drawing that I can search for that makes AutoCAD Crash? Any tips at all would be much appreciated.... if I can't get it fixed then I'm going to have to redraw from scratch..... Just in case my Computer Details: Intel Core i5 -3570K CPU @3.40Ghz 16 GB RAM 64-Bit Windows AutoCAD 2013 (Software fully up to date) Cheers

    Software Crashes

I recently installed Autodesk 3ds MAX 2012-64bit Student Version on my laptop. I got my activation codes from Autodesk and loaded them on start up. Now when the program runs it crashes after about 12-15 min. Simple commands are being used, (Setting up the views, view cube, set current view as home, etc.) When I try to use the steering wheel only a short time later the software crashes. I could use some help. Autodesk, Inc. is of little help to me because of the free software provided to students. I also have AutoCAD 2010, AutoCAD Mech. 2010, AutoCAD Elec. 2012, Inventor 2010 installed on the laptop. The others work fine.
  5. Hi guys, Im using AutoCAD Architecture 2012 and i'm using sheet files and whenever i try and close one AutoCAD crashes. Does anyone know what can cause this? I have deleted my temp files and updated the graphics card and it is still crashing, on new drawings and old ones. Any help would be much aappreciated Cheers.
  6. My AutoCAD2009 LT in the office keeps crashing when I listen to Radio 1 through the computer here at the office. I listen to the radio like this so I can use headphones and not disturb other office users (I find I work better to music) However, when i do this and go into layout tabes, after just a min or two of working and setting up layouts my AutoCAD crashes with: "Unhandled exception has occured, in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this erro and attempt to continue. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." I have the options of "Details" or "Continue" Pressing continue merely makes the message reappear straight away. Details read: "Application does not support just-in-time (JIT) debugging. See the end of this message for details." (Followed by a lot of other jargon I dont understand and wont fill this topic up with) And as I've written this topic, it's just crashed in the background too! Is it something to do with Internet Explorer? Or one of it's add-ons? Thanks folks
