Hi, We're using AutoCAD LT 2013 and we simply want to plot some electrical drawings provided by one of our manufacturers in black and white only. When viewing the drawings on screen it shows all different colours used for different layers (I think), when we try plotting in black and white the yellows and blues come out grey. Same thing happens when we try to Publish as a PDF. Is there a way to change the entire drawing to black without individually selecting each line? Thanks in advance Brad

Hello all, Every time I open my AutoCAD Program I get a little notification in the upper right saying "AutoCAD LT ® 2013 64bit Service Pack 2 Update" and there is a link to "Update" - or "Install" Now and I click it. An internet explorer window pops up and the screen remains white and a tiny bar along the bottom of the internet browser says "Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls" and there is a button that says "Allow Access" which, when I click it, does nothing. I noticed the web address in the browser is a file path pointing to "LiveUpdateFrame.htm" under C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Autodesk, Inc\AutoCAD LT\R19.0.55.0.0\LiveUpdateFrame.htm. What is going on here? Why would AutoCAD say there is a service pack ready and not allow me to go through with it? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Trouble with hatch patterns
Mark Richardson posted a topic in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface
I'm using AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac. I have searched other threads about loading new hatch patterns but haven't found an answer to my dilemma. Most seem to deal with locating the correct folder to place them in. I have done this correctly(or so I assume). The hatch patterns I downloaded (.pat files) are now in the same support folder that contains acadlt.pat and the like. The new patterns show up in the library list but do not have a preview image in the box next to the name like all the standard ones do. Rather the box is white with a red diagonal line through it. When I try to select the pattern it says "error in pattern file." I tried this with .pat files from other sources to doublecheck the patterns I'm trying to use aren't corrupted with the same result. Just fyi: the patterns are from eldorado stone. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thank you! Mark- 3 replies

We have our CTB files (as well as our pmp and pc3) files on the network. With 2008 thru 2012, we have edited our profiles to point to these. In 2013, one C3D PC sees them fine. A second C3D PC and a LT PC see the lone STB file and no CTB's. It appears the pmp and pc3 files are seen, however. I did locate a dialog box on LT that seems to be where you might choose between CTB and STB files, but we have it set to CTB and in there, you can select a default CTB file. And in that dialog box, the software sees our folder contents. Is these some toggle hidden in the interface that we need to flip for this to work? TIA

Tutor or help in L.A. area for MAC LT 2013 user?
DaisyFaith posted a topic in AutoCAD Beginners' Area
Hi, Does anybody know of a tutor or a one day class available in the L.A. area? I am currently taking a US CAD e-course but the course wasn't designed for MAC or LT and I have some questions that I'd like answered face to face or on the phone. I learned Autocad 2005 but haven't used it for years and I have some pretty basic questions that are tripping me up. I'm going to be doing fairly simple 2D furniture design drawings. Any suggestions? Thanks, Daisy -
Hi, I'm currently running AutoCAD LT 2013, and I've been asked to compare two dwg files; one has been drawn using LT 2013 and the other has been drawn using an older version of the software. Is there any way or any plug that can be used in LT 13 to compare the two drawings? I've looked online and the only program i can find is Furix but that doesnt allow for usage on the LT version of autoCAD. Please help! Thanks Claire
