How can I restore corrupt DWG files?
amadeubaptista posted a topic in AutoCAD Bugs, Error Messages & Quirks
Recently recovered thousands of DWG files on a hard drive with a corrupt partition, however, all the files recovered are not viewable or recoverable through autocad 2007. The files are 2004 dwg files. Is there any software available to repair DWG files that someone can refer me to? -
Hello, I'm starting out with Autocad and I have a little question that may sound a little dumb to you'll but is really troubling me. I'm using autocad 2004 and when I try to draw a line in feet, the line just goes out of the the screen and the screen just doesn't scroll. It works fine when it is around 1 or 2 feet, but just goes out of the page when i try to draw above 5 feet. Please help me with this.

Raster Image later displays as the file name only
darrellk-1 posted a topic in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface
Running AutoCAD 2004, XP Pro I have inserted our company logo into the title block as a Raster image. The logo is png, and I have tried retaining the path and not retaining the path with the same result. After saving this as a template, I reopen as new sheet to start a drawing and the logo is now the path name. I have erased and reinserted the logo countless times and sometimes it sticks, other times not so much. Help!- 1 reply

Editing a drawing that is a reference to another drawing
DreadPirateRoberts posted a topic in AutoCAD General
Currently I have a large list of individual AutoCAD 2004 part drawings, and I would like to compile them all into one giant AutoCAD file where I can see them all at once. I am wondering if, after this big drawing is made, I can edit the individual files and have those changes show up on the compilation drawing without too much work. I have been trying to make each individual drawing its own block using wblock, but this has not been working as easily as I would like. Thanks for the help!- 14 replies
