Hi I've been using Autocad 2002 for a long time and I'd like to find a solution for a problem I couldn't find. I like to see the full list of drawings in a folder instead of small icons. To do that I right click on the areas where the files are displayed and select "show list" or "show details". The problem is that whenever I chance the folder or select a file to open and go back to open another file Autocad is already showing me again the "small icons". So my selection is not permanent. I know that in Autocad 2000 if I did that selection of "show as" whatever and selected it, when I went back to open another file, that selection was still standing (ex.: I selected "show details" so it allways showed me "details" until I selected something else). Can anyone help me with this? Does it happen to anyone else?

Hey there. Long story short: we have 2 old computers running autocad 2002, because we have an old plotter, Synergix 8825, and it was/is going to cost us a ton of money to revamp our CAD department. Lo and behold! One of the dinosaurs died and now we are in a predicament. I am basically looking for the best/cheapest middle ground for an entirely new set up. Preferably keeping autocad 2002 because we have had no problems with that. My main focus is what system requirements i should have in the (2) new computers and what plotters/scanners have been found to be the most convenient/cheap/useful. We were holding off on purchasing new equipment and now we are in a bind. Thanx. Kip

Revision cloud in autocad 2002
pgw posted a topic in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface
Hi, Does someone know how I can make the revision cloud in Autocad 2002. Does it have the function? In which meny is it? What is the short command? -
I work in an architecture office and we are FINALLY starting to upgrade our computers. We have already purchased one computer. It is windows 7 64-bit. We use AutoCAD 2002 and the boss man wants to keep using AutoCAD 2002 because he has everything set up just the way he wants it. He is just too lazy and too worried about money to take the time to upgrade to newer versions of CAD and set them up the exact same way. I could go on and on about that. Now, to the problem at hand. I have CAD2002 installed on the new machine by doing the XP virtual machine. However, we have a LISP routine that was made years ago for CAD2002 and now it isn't working on the new machine. I have loaded it the same way I have done on all other machines running Windows XP Pro 32-bit. If any one has any possible solutions or needs more information from me please let me know. I would like to get this problem fixed so he gets off of my back. Thank you in advance for the assistance.
