Dear Members! Problem part I I now turn to you with the question of how to extract certain data from the "_massprop" command and assign it to a variable immediately. I am working on an automation task where a cable cross section has to be pulled out on a given 3D polilyne path. I need to extract the volume of the resulting 3D solid to calculate the volume of the displaced top. Problem part II Similarly, I should extract the length of the extracted 3D tube from the property table. This data is available if I extract the cross section with the _extrude / path command. I have to assign the extracted data to a variable within the lisp program to perform a mathematical operation on it. hi, I wish to know how to extrude polylnes to 3D solids in autocad? I am new in cad, and i have around 100 shapes with height but in polylines, so i have to extrude.. i need someone to please tell me how to do this.. i searched online and on utube, but i found only how to draw directly. For my case i already have my 3D polylines. i need to extrude.. I am grateful for any help.. kay

I'm trying to access data from 3D solids. I've been working out some rather involved routines to comb through the ACIS data and piece it back together but there must be an easier way. If a face can be identified and assigned a color through a simple click, then surely there is a way to access this information about the solid without exploding it or digging around in an ACIS file. It feels like the kind of information that could be accessed by descending through subentities associated with the solid but unless I'm missing it, that only leads to the ACIS data. I ultimately want to create arrays of points on the faces of solids and I was working down the path of drawing polylines on the faces to set boundaries for the arrays, but for now I'm reluctant to forge much further down the ACIS route since my gut tells me there is an easier way. What am I missing?
