Hello, I have a city map with lots of building plans, most of them are 3D polylines and all of them has different Z values, according to their heights. I want to make a 3D model out of it by simply extruding them. But those 3D polylines have vertexes on different elevations. Is there a way to find a geometric center for each of those 3D polylines and flatten them into 2D polylines that has the Z value of that geometric center. So that I would have 2D polylines with different Z values. (I don't want to flatten everything to Z=0) Thanks in advance!

I need to add pipe properties to a 2D Polyline in AutoCAD or Civil 3D but I am not sure how to go about it. I have uploaded a sample file, the information I need to associate with the polyline is in the red box. If someone has any idea about adding these features to a 2D polyline please do let me know. Thank you Please find the sample file below

Hello All, I have created a series of splined lines into a polyline (pedit) which I want to extrude. When I extrude the polyline I only get an extruded polyline and not a surface. I need to create a mesh or make the surface a face to extrude to make a solid. I have not used AutoCad for some years and have forgotten how to do this. I know that I am making an incorrect procedure here somehow. Can anyone give me some help or steer me into the correction. Thank you,

Hi guys, I have the problem that autocad extrudes the polylines I create automatically. for example if I draw (with the polyline tool) a triangle in the front view. it seems to be a 2d polyline, but when I change to the top view I can actually see that it's extruded into the z space 5 centimeters??? is this the normal behaviour of autocad, when drawing a 2d polyline, or do I have a weird option activated. I know this is a very basic questions, but I started using it 2 days ago... thx for ur help!
