  1. All members (i.e. anyone with a post count of 10 or greater) now have access to a new theme here at the CADTutor forum. This has been a long-time request, and now it's here! In the footer of every page, eligible members will see a "Theme" link that allows a choice of the default CADTutor theme or the new Dark Mode theme. Simply choose the one you prefer. The forum will remember your choice until you change it. Try it out and let me know what you think

  2. If you're talking about the [Default Scale List…] on the [User Preferences] tab in Options you can restore them with the SCALELISTEDIT command.

  3. Is this another go at your request for road curve details that you have asked for previously. As mentioned in another post you seem to ask for a lot of freebies but never have a go yourself. Maybe have to pay at some point.

  4. Sooner or later someone might just charge you money for it. The way to go is write direct to Excel change it there and then reupdate very possible. Why dont you have a go write the csv with *Text handle use that to update text.

  5. If only fields in AutoCAD can reference texts from tables... been a lingering problem for ages, otherwise I would have: 1. Used the provided to create the CSV 2. Inserted a table somewhere on AutoCAD, and use a data link to link the created CSV file to the table. 3. Used a field to reference the text from the table in that specific cell. So when you change the text on the CSV file, save the CSV, reload the link in CAD, and you'll see the change. Even though the above is not applicable, it's still not entirely impossible. At the worst case, you might just use reactors, but it's a tedious process. For someone who seems to only demand for free codes and -8 community reputation, you need to realize that the kind of "code" you're requesting for is not something a few simple lines can solve for you. Sooner or later someone might just charge you money for it.

  7. A grid surface, when used for earthwork calculations, is never more than an approximation. It's a holdover from the days when such things were done by hand, and a quick approximation was better than an accurate but lengthy process. The A/E/C industry is still behind the curve of the Digital Revolution; it's now possible to get quick as well as accurate data, but many managers insist on doing things the way they've always done it.
