  2. Opening your drawing I got a message saying it needed recovering due to 140+ errors? Once opened I also had a message saying there are xrefs missing. What was left in the drawing was 3 mlines? So either your mtext has errors or the text that you can see is within an xref.

  3. Probably (it can in 2018/19/20) right click on an empty part of the bar across the top of the ribbon where all the tabs are (Home-Insert-Annotate-etc.) and click undock, now go to the ribbon (wherever it appears) and right click on it's title bar again in an empty spot (the bar that says 'ribbon' ) make sure there is a check mark/tick next to allow docking then choose anchor left or right.

  4. Well everyone this is certainly a lot to take in, so I'm probably going to disappear for a bit while I read up more on the suggested content and watch the video series I found. Thank you all very, very much for all of your help; hopefully when you see me next I'll know what I'm doing and may be able to help the next time someone is having similar issues.

  5. Version without use of commands (works more quickly). If the layer with such name does not exist, it is created ; Changes selected objects to Layer PL1 (defun c:setpl1 () (tolayer (ssget "_:L") ;;selection "PL1" ;;Layer ) (princ) ) (defun tolayer ( ss lay / i e ) ;;; ss - pickset ;;; lay -layer name (repeat (setq i (sslength ss)) (entmod (subst (cons 8 lay) (assoc 8 (entget (setq e (ssname ss (setq i (1- i)))))) (entget e) ) ) ) )
