Hi

Another question (Probably a simple answer again!)

If I have grid line with the start & end co-ordinates of:

Point 1: X149.8998 Y76.3442

Point 2: X374.6543 Y248.4519

Can the grid be shifted & rotated, to the new co-ordinates of:

Point 1: X100.0000 Y100.0000

Point 2: X100.0000 Y383.0824

Thankyou

I think Align will do what you want.

That will only shift & rotate the selected object. I think what I mean must be something to do with the UCS. The selected grid line I have chosen, I need the entire drawing to shift & rotate with that grid line.

Help, what do I do in UCS view. I am only a novice to some extent.

If you select everything in the drawing, then Align is one way to Shift and Rotate everything in one go.

There are several ways of civilising a drawing so that the grid lines are orthogonal. One way is to set up a UCS, but then you have to play with UCSFOLLOW unless you want a crick in your neck.

One way is to move everything in the drawing with something like ALIGN, although there are other ways.

One way is to insert the drawing as an Xref or block into a fresh drawing and move it about until the coordinates are what you want.

Whichever way you do do it, work on a copy of the original drawing which should be kept in a safe place, and be sure to use Object Snaps to keep everything accurate

I will try that & see how I get on
